This year marks the 108 anniversary for the Beta Rho Chapter of Sigma Chi at MSU. The active chapter and alumni have planned a great homecoming weekend starting Friday, September 26.

You need to get your hotel reservations early. Most Sigs are staying at the Best Western Gran Tree Inn, Comfort Inn, or Days Inn.

Schedule of Events

Friday, September 26

The STORY MANSION, 811 South Willson (Across the street from the Sigma Chi House)
1 pm: House Company Annual Meeting & election of Officers
3 pm: Briefing on the renovation plans, progress to date and Q&A
3:45 pm: First tour of the House Renovation in Progress
4:15 pm: Second Tour of the House Renovation in Progress
5 pm: Homecoming Reception & Celebration begins
6:30 pm: Official Dedication
9 pm: Celebration Ends

Saturday, September 27

10:00-11 am: MSU Homecoming Parade on Main Street
11 am-2 pm: Alumni Tailgates (See hosts and map below)
2:00-5:00 pm: Football Game — Go Cats Go!

Celebration of the House Renovation

Join the festivities at Bozeman’s Story Mansion to be a part of Beta Rho history by witnessing the official dedication of our newly renovated, 64 yearl-old “house in progress.” Since reconstruction began on May 19 we will be 15 weeks into the 30-week project, well on the way to reponening for Spring Semester.

This informal event at the Mansion will report on the construction status as well as an opportunity to mee the members of the House Conceptual Building Committee: Rick Dissly ’66, Paul Boylan ’64, Walt Smith ’85, Bryan Henson ’84, Norm Achen ’66, and John Hertz ’89. Questions are welcome and details and progress photos will be on display.

The reception will include appetizers (light dining choices) with a selection of wine, beer and soft drinks. Significant others are welcome. The cost for the event and reception is $30 per person.

Football Tickets

HERE’S MOST IMPORTANT PART! To purchase your football tickets call the athletic department ticket office at 406-994-2287 beginning on August 8 and ask for tickets in the Sigma Chi Alumni section 109 (sideline seats) or section 124 (end zone seats). The sideline seats are more expensive. You can pick up the tickets at will call on the day of the game. DO NOT purchase your tickets online at ticketswest.com because you will not be in the Sigma Chi Alumni section if you do.

Tailgates

Pre-game Beta Rho Tailgates will be held in various locations. See the hosts and maps below.

We are recommending that you attend the Tailgates as indicated by the year of your graduation as you will meet most of the brothers from your time at Beta Rho. Of course, you are free to attend any of the Tailgates.

Please be sure to introduce yourself to the Beta Rho host. You should also be aware that these hosts hold Tailgates for most Bobcat games so other non-Beta Rho guests will likely also be present.
